Give Google SEOs 4-12 Months To See Positive Ranking Results

December 5, 2019

You’ve decided to look into hiring a Santa Rosa SEO company to handle the optimization of your small business site. How long will it take for you to start seeing results? Here at Fitz Designz, we like to be as transparent as possible about how we operate. To that end, we recommend you stay in the SEO game for four to 12 months to see the results you desire.

Month One

During the first month, your internet marketing company will start the keyword planning, strategizing, site audit, and research and discovery phases. Note that it may take more than a month for the research and discovery phase to be completed. That said, it’s also not unusual for this specific phase to wrap up rather quickly, allowing technical site changes to be made during the initial month.

Month Two

Now that the site audit is complete, it’s time to start making changes to the site. There’s a chance your business web site will need an overhaul from top to bottom, which can take months. While the remodel is in the works, you can tend to quality content creation and link building. Consider this creating a solid SEO foundation and assembling the skeleton.

Month Three

Month three is when content creation starts in earnest. This means FAQ, whitepapers, information about your company, blogs and articles. Because you own a small business, you may have budget restrictions that keep you from working on quality content as much (or as soon) as you’d like. If so, it’s best to focus on the technical remodel first. There’s a chance you may begin to notice some positive results at the end of the third month. If not, that’s perfectly okay.

Month Four

Keep up with site optimization, link profile development and content creation. Hopefully, you’ll start to see results in regards to lead generation, search rankings and site traffic. Note that this isn’t as good as your results can get, so be sure to keep putting in the time and effort.

Month Five

If you haven’t already, month five is when you want to start adding
social media management to your SEO strategy. That way, you have a way to let your followers and customers know about all the great content and site remodeling you’ve been working on for the past several months. Another great thing about social media management in regards to SEO is that it’s a great way to work on link building.

Month Six

As your site traffic starts to swell, start thinking about conversion rate optimization. This is so you have an easier time turning your visitors into loyal and long-time customers. At this point, you can either keep your full focus on churning out quality content or mixing things up according to your overall desires and industry.

Beyond Month Six

After month six, concentrate on maintaining the results you’ve enjoyed up until that point. This is an especially good idea when you start to see results leveling out rather than growing. No matter what, give SEO time to work its magic, which often takes longer than two or three months.
